Gerald S. Zavorsky, PhD, RRT, RPFT, FACSM

I’m a Full Professor (Adjunct Series) in the Department of Physiology and Membrane Biology at UC Davis, where my research focuses on blood gas analysis, pulmonary function diagnostics, and respiratory physiology. I am the editor-in-chief of a new Elsevier journal, Pulmonary Function Diagnostics. Furthermore, I also serve as an associate editor for Frontiers in Physiology: Respiratory Physiology & Pathophysiology and BMJ Open Respiratory Research and sit on editorial boards in respiratory physiology. My background spans pulmonary function testing, blood gas/co‑oximetry, and biostatistics (R/SPSS).
